Rangers & Staff

Our staff

Mimal staff oversee the day to day management of our operations, including our CEO and rangers. We also employ consultants when we’re busy and need extra help. Our staff maintain close communication with the board and landowners. The success of Mimal is based on having strong and growing staff capacity. Equipping our staff and rangers with the necessary skills and tools through training and career development is a high priority.

Rangers

Our ancestors developed strong knowledge and managed the land for millenia. Mimal Rangers draw on that traditional knowledge and the latest in science to keep country healthy.

Our rangers are central to Mimal’s success through their work with landowners, outstation people and community. Their work on country includes controlled burning and fighting wildfires, monitoring endangered species, weed and feral management, recording and protecting our special sites. Employment through the ranger program provides important income in remote areas which helps grow the local economy. Importantly, it provides jobs that recognise and respect our knowledge.
